The Monmouth County Division of Planning, in collaboration
with the Monmouth County Agriculture Development Board, is pleased to announce
the second annual Farm Summit. Join us for a valuable opportunity to connect
with fellow members of the agricultural industry. Hear from state and county agricultural leaders on
important topics impacting farmers today. Meet with various resource providers tied to the agricultural community.

with Rutgers Cooperative Extension, the Farm Summit will include two
webinars held in the weeks leading to the event.

include converting operation type or preparing the farm
for the next generation. Brandon Pearsall of the SADC’s Next Gen team and Dr.
William Errickson of Rutgers Cooperative Extension will share strategies and
possible funding opportunities.
March 18 at 7 p.m.
The new Statewide Formula has revitalized the Farmland Preservation Program. Preservation numbers are up statewide,
including in Monmouth County. Join Cindy Roberts and Katie Mazzella, of the SADC, and
Harriet Honigfeld, from the Monmouth County Division of Planning, to learn about farmland
preservation and the new appraisal valuation method.
