ONCE THE MATTER IS HEARD YOU WILL RECEIVE YOUR EXECUTED JUDGMENT (FORM G)
Upon receipt of the Judgment (Form G), you must read the Judgment and follow paragraphs 2 and 3 as the appointed guardian as follows:
- As the appointed guardian in the Judgment, you are ORDERED to sign qualifying documents. You cannot act as guardian until you qualify with the Monmouth County Surrogate's Office. You must complete the qualifying documents within 30 days of the Judgment.
- The Judgment may contain the requirement of a Surety Bond.
It is your responsibility to complete the qualifying documents. The Monmouth County Surrogate’s Office will assign a probate clerk to contact you via email or by phone within five (5) days. If you don’t hear from the office, it's crucial for you to take the initiative and reach out via email at
