Please be advised that the summer
schedule for the operation of the Glimmer Glass Bridge will go into effect on
Memorial Day, May 31, 2021.
Beginning Memorial Day, the bridge will
open on demand at all times, except between the hours of 7 a.m. and 8 p.m., during
which time the bridge only need open on the hour and half hour if vessels need
to pass, (i.e. 7 a.m., 7:30 a.m., 8 a.m., 8:30 a.m. and
so on). This schedule will remain in
effect until Labor Day, at which time it will go back to on demand, 24/7.

the entire year as per the US Code of Federal Regulations (US CFR) is available
online.

In addition to
monitoring the vessel traffic at this location, the County is developing a plan
to help mitigate the impacts of the movable bridge openings on the vehicular
traffic on nearby roadways in Manasquan and Brielle. Plans are actively being
developed to improve the flow of traffic. The County is working with the
municipalities to ensure the development of a plan that will benefit roadway
and waterway users.
