Ridesharing Services
MCDOT in House Service – Advanced reservation transportation services for seniors and persons with permanent disabilities. Transportation is available for medical, kidney dialysis, radiation therapy, HIV, nutrition, shopping in 31 municipalities, 12 nutrition sites, Veterans clinics (Brick, East Orange, and Lyons every other week) and sheltered workshops. A special daily trip is provided to New Brunswick, East Orange and Newark on a space availability basis. Services are available Monday through Friday with some service available as early at 6 a.a and as late as 6 p.m.
Shared Ride Taxi – This service uses private van and taxi operators under contract to MCDOT to provide service on a first come first serve basis to any destinations, Monday, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Thursday evenings, 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.
