County Commissioners recognize
Red Bank Charter School Students for
National Competition Achievement
FREEHOLD, NJ – The Monmouth County Board of County
Commissioners recognized four students from Red Bank Charter School for earning
second place in the 2026 Capitol Hill Challenge, a national competition that
introduces young people to investing, capital markets and long-term financial
decision-making through hands-on learning.
“Congratulations to Riley Regina, Sofia
Morales-Santamaria, David Tiro and Jack Young on this outstanding
accomplishment,” said Commissioner Director Thomas A. Arnone. “Their success in
the Capitol Hill Challenge demonstrates not only their academic abilities, but
also their critical thinking, teamwork and perseverance. We are proud to
recognize these students and celebrate their achievement on the national
stage.”
“As part of the competition, the students had the
opportunity to learn about investing, capital markets, and financial
decision-making while managing a hypothetical $100,000 portfolio of stocks,
bonds, mutual funds and cash,” said Commissioner Erik Anderson, liaison to the
Monmouth County Superintendent of Schools. “These impressive seventh graders
competed alongside 7,300 middle and high school students from across the
country. Their success is a great example of what students can accomplish when
they have the opportunity to put what they learn into practice.”
