County Commissioners proclaim May 17-23 as Emergency Medical Services
Week

“Emergency Medical
Technicians (EMTs) deliver essential care to individuals in need, and their skills
save lives everyday said Commissioner Director Thomas A. Arnone. “As their
roles and responsibilities continue to grow and evolve, EMTs consistently rise
to meet every challenge. On behalf of the Monmouth County Board of County
Commissioners, I extend our sincere gratitude to MedStar personnel and all
volunteer EMTs for their steadfast commitment to helping other during times of
crisis.”
The certificate of
recognition was presented by members of MedStar by Commissioner Susan M. Kiley,
liaison to the Monmouth County Sheriff’s Office, on behalf of the Board.
“Since
its launch in 2023, MedStar has handled thousands of calls for service and
transported thousands of patients to local hospitals with outstanding response
times and a team of amazing EMTs and dozens of ambulances,” said Commissioner Kiley.
“I would like to express my appreciation to all Emergency Medical personnel and
volunteer EMTs throughout the County for their tireless work, professionalism,
and ongoing commitment to safeguarding our communities.”
