County Commissioners proclaim May 2026
as Military Appreciation Month
FREEHOLD, NJ – The
Monmouth County Board of County Commissioners proclaimed May 2026 as Military
Appreciation Month during a Commissioners Meeting on May 28 and thanked members
of the military for their service to the United States.
“Military Appreciation
Month is an opportunity to recognize the dedication of the brave men and women
who serve our Country,” said Commissioner Director Thomas A. Arnone. “Monmouth
County is home to over 20,000 veterans and multiple military installations and
we are proud to support our military personnel during and after their service. On
behalf of Monmouth County Board of County Commissioners, I would like to thank
our service members and honor their commitment to our nation.”
The proclamation was
presented by Commissioner Susan M. Kiley, liaison to the Division on Aging,
Disabilities and Veterans Services, on behalf of the Board.
“The Division on Aging,
Disabilities and Veterans Services works every day to connect veterans with the
support services that they deserve,” said Commissioner Susan M. Kiley, liaison
to the Division on Aging, Disabilities and Veterans Services. “We thank our
veterans for their noble sacrifices and we encourage them to reach out to the
Division to learn more about the resources available to them.”
