Monmouth County Counsel Michael D.
Fitzgerald honored by New Jersey Association of Counties
ATLANTIC CITY, NJ – The Monmouth County Board of
County Commissioners congratulates Monmouth County Counsel Michael D.
Fitzgerald for receiving a County Service Award presented by the New Jersey
Association of Counties (NJAC) during the NJAC Convention in Atlantic City on
May 7.
“Since being named County Counsel in 2017, Michael
has represented Monmouth County and the Commissioners with integrity and he
brings a wealth of knowledge acquired through decades of private practice and
public service,” said Commissioner Director Thomas A. Arnone. “We are thrilled
to have Michael as part of our staff and congratulate him for receiving a
County Service Award.”
“The County Service Award from NJAC recognizes
county staff members throughout the State for outstanding leadership and
dedication to county government,” said Commissioner Deputy Director Dominick
“Nick” DiRocco, 2nd Vice President of NJAC. “Michael has worked with
NJAC to support County priorities at the State level and we cannot thank him
enough for his efforts.”
“Congratulations to Michael on his award from NJAC,”
said Commissioner Erik Anderson, liaison to the Office of County Counsel. “Michael’s
experience in the public sector as a member of the Township Committee in Wall
Township and the Township Committee in Colts Neck, in addition to his work on
the Marconi Park-Camp Evans Reuse Committee and the New Jersey State Wetlands
Mitigation Council have made him a great person to represent the interests
of the County and its more than 650,000 residents.”
