County Commissioners congratulate Susan
Moran for being named 2026 NJDOE Exemplary Educator
FREEHOLD, NJ - The Monmouth County Board of County
Commissioners honored educator Susan Moran during its January 29 Commissioner
Meeting for being named a 2026 Exemplary Educator by the New Jersey Department
of Education.
On behalf of the Board, County Commissioner Erik
Anderson, liaison to the Monmouth County Superintendent of Schools, presented
Moran with a certificate recognizing her achievement.
“Throughout her career, Susan has demonstrated
exceptional skill and leadership and has made an incredible impact on her
students,” said Commissioner Director Thomas A. Arnone. “We thank her for
providing a memorable and meaningful educational experience.”
“Susan has taught at Shore Regional High School for
ten years as a family and consumer science teacher and serves as an advisor for
the school’s ski club,” said Commissioner Anderson. “Her innovative teaching
and dedication to helping students master essential life skills have made a
lasting impact on the school community. We are proud to recognize Susan for
this well-deserved honor and celebrate her as a role model for educators across
the State.”
The New Jersey Department of Education annually
invites public school districts to participate in the Exemplary Educator
Recognition Program, which honors educators who demonstrate strong knowledge
and skills, a positive presence, and an inspiring influence on students,
colleagues, and the broader school community. Teachers, parents, and community
members nominate candidates, with selected educators receiving statewide
recognition.
