Commissioners honor recipients
of NJAC
Foundation Grant Award Program
FREEHOLD, NJ –
The Monmouth County Board of County Commissioners was proud to honor the recipients
of the New Jersey Association of Counties (NJAC) Foundation Grant Award Program
during their Workshop Meeting on July 10.
“Congratulations
to all of the scholarship recipients from the Monmouth County Vocational School
District and a special thank you to the NJAC Foundation for providing this
incredible opportunity for our students,” said Commissioner Director Thomas A.
Arnone. “The Monmouth County Board of County Commissioners is proud to join
with NJAC in honoring these students and we wish them the best in all of their
future endeavors.”
“Monmouth County is a proud member of NJAC, which helps advocate
for legislation, regulations, and policy directives that empower county
governments to operate more effectively and efficiently,” said Commissioner
Dominick “Nick” DiRocco, liaison to the NJAC. “Since 2011, the NJAC Foundation
has awarded $700,000 in scholarships to more than 1,000 students who continued
their education at home in the Garden State and we thank them for supporting
our students through their scholarship program.”
NJAC provides scholarship opportunities through the NJAC
Foundation, a nonprofit organization committed to providing financial
assistance for county vocational-technical school graduates who plan on
continuing their education at a New Jersey county or state college/university
