announce the 50th annual Monmouth County Fair
Summer fun returns to East Freehold
Showgrounds, July 23-27
FREEHOLD, NJ – The Monmouth County Board of County
Commissioners are excited to announce that the 50th annual Monmouth County Fair
will take place from Wednesday, July 23, through Sunday, July 27, at the East
Freehold Showgrounds located at 1500 Kozloski Road, Freehold Township.
“My fellow
Commissioners and I can’t wait to join everyone at the 50th annual Monmouth
County Fair, one of the premier events of the summer that attracts thousands of
residents and visitors to the East Freehold Showgrounds,” said Commissioner
Director Thomas A. Arnone. “This year, we’ll host a special event on Opening
Night to kick off the countdown to America’s 250th birthday in 2026. We hope
you’ll join us for this celebration!”
“The 50th annual Monmouth County Fair will
continue to honor the agricultural nature of a traditional county fair with its
Home and Garden competition, petting zoo and 4-H animal shows and exhibits, as
well as highlight our incredible Park System and all it has to offer our
residents and visitors,” said Commissioner Ross F. Licitra, liaison to
the Park System. “This fun-filled event has something
for everyone to enjoy.”
“All fairgoers are
encouraged to visit the 4-H tents for engaging demonstrations and lively
entertainment,” added Commissioner Erik Anderson, liaison to the Rutgers
Cooperative Extension. “In the Herpetology, Small Animal, and Livestock tents,
guests can meet the animals raised by 4-H youth and learn more about the
programs that support them.”
Fair
attendees are invited to stop by the Monmouth County Government tent, located
just inside the main entrance. County employees will be on hand to provide
information, answer questions, and highlight services offered by various
departments including Tourism, County Clerk’s Office, Surrogate’s Office, Human
Resources, Health and Human Services, Mosquito Control, Transportation,
Workforce Development, the Library System and Brookdale Community College.
MonmouthNJ 250 will also have an exhibit.
The 2025
Monmouth County Fair will be open from 4-11 p.m. on Wednesday through Friday,
July 23-25; from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturday, July 26; and from 11 a.m. to 6
p.m. on Sunday, July 27.
General
admission is $10 per adult; children 12 and under are admitted free. Half-price
admission will be offered during the first two hours of each day; from 4-6 p.m.
Wednesday, Thursday and Friday; and from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
Veterans and active military with ID enter for free. On Sunday, seniors 65 and
older and students with ID are free.
