Director’s Wellness Challenge wins Workplace
Wellness Hero award from NJBIZ
FREEHOLD, NJ – The Monmouth County Board of County
Commissioners is proud to announce that the Director’s Wellness Challenge has
been recognized as a Workplace Wellness Hero – Organization by NJBIZ.
“On behalf of my fellow Commissioners and County
staff, we are truly honored to receive the Workplace Wellness Hero –
Organization award from NJBIZ,” said Commissioner Director Thomas A.
Arnone. “When we launched the Challenge, our initial goal was 5,000 steps on 20
out of 30 days each month for three months. We later raised the bar to 7,500
steps for 20 out of 30 days each month for two months in the lead up to
Memorial Day Weekend. Congratulations to all participants, and we look forward
to announcing the next phase of the Challenge soon!”
According to its website, “NJBIZ, New
Jersey’s leading business journal, provides 24/7 business news coverage and
events honoring top business professionals. The 2025 NJBIZ Health Care
Heroes were celebrated during a ceremony held on June 24 at The Palace at
Somerset Park.

recognize excellence, promote innovation, and honor the contributions of
individuals and organizations making a significant impact on health care in New
Jersey,” said Commissioner Dominick “Nick” DiRocco, liaison to the Division of
Benefits and Workforce Wellness. “Monmouth County is grateful for this
recognition and remains committed to offering innovative wellness initiatives
that support the wellbeing of our workforce.”
