County Commissioners proclaim May 4-10
as Professional Municipal Clerks Week
FREEHOLD, NJ – The Monmouth County Board of County
Commissioners has proclaimed May 4-10 as Professional Municipal Clerks Weeks
during their workshop meeting on April 15.
“On behalf of the Monmouth County Board of County
Commissioners, we extend a sincere thank you to all of the hard-working
municipal clerks in Monmouth County. Professional Municipal Clerks Week offers
a special opportunity to recognize and honor the critical role municipal clerks
play in our communities,” said Commissioner Director Thomas A. Arnone. “As a
former mayor, I know first-hand how essential municipal clerks are in the smooth
operation of local government and how they continually strive to improve the
administration of their duties through participation in education programs,
seminars, workshops and annual meetings with their peers.”
“Municipal clerks are the backbone of local
government operations, often working behind the scenes, overseeing key
functions like record keeping, election management and legislative
documentation,” said Commissioner Ross F. Licitra. “Their dedication is vital
to the effective functioning of our municipalities, and we thank them for their
hard work.”
