County Commissioners celebrated April 13-19
as
National Public Safety Telecommunications
Week
FREEHOLD, NJ – The Monmouth County Board of County
Commissioners celebrated April 13-19 as National Public Safety
Telecommunications Week and marked the occasion during a workshop meeting on
April 15.
“On behalf of the Monmouth County
Board of County Commissioners, I want to thank our public safety
telecommunication personnel for their incredibly important work they do each
and every day,” said Commissioner Director Thomas A. Arnone. “When someone
calls 9-1-1, a dedicated telecommunicator answers the call, calmly gathering
information and dispatches emergency responders. Their behind-the-scenes work
is essential to public safety, and we are grateful for their service.”
“These dedicated men and women are
the unsung heroes of public safety and play a critical role in saving lives,”
said Commissioner Deputy Director Susan M. Kiley, liaison to the Monmouth
County Sheriff’s Office. “We recognize and honor their tireless service, which
continues 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Monmouth County is safer because
of their professionalism and commitment.”
