County Commissioners celebrated
National Library Week, April 6-12
FREEHOLD, NJ – The Monmouth County Board of County
Commissioners recognized the annual celebration of National Library Week, which
took place from April 6-12, during their workshop meeting on April 15.
“I’m proud to join my fellow Commissioners in
celebrating National Library Week and the Monmouth County Library System,” said
Commissioner Director Thomas A. Arnone. “Our libraries do more than provide
books - they build community, spark imagination, and support lifelong learning.
We’re especially grateful to the hardworking staff whose passion and dedication
truly make a difference.”
“As the largest circulating library system in the
State, the Monmouth County Library System offers our residents unparalleled
access to an extensive collection of print books, eBooks, and audiobooks,” said
Commissioner Erik Anderson, liaison to the Monmouth County Library System.
“With 13 conveniently located branches across the County, residents of all ages
can take part in a wide variety of programs - from educational presentations
and board game meetups to art and music celebrations. I encourage everyone to
stop by their local branch and discover all that the library has to offer.”
