Commissioners remind residents to shop
local
on Small Business Saturday, Nov. 30
FREEHOLD, NJ – The
Monmouth County Board of County Commissioners is encouraging residents to
support local businesses and restaurants on Small Business Saturday, which
takes place on Saturday, Nov. 30.
“The Monmouth County
Board of County Commissioners would like to remind Monmouth County residents
and visitors that Saturday, Nov. 30, is Small Business Saturday,” said
Commissioner Director Thomas A. Arnone, liaison to the Division of Economic
Development. “This day provides a wonderful opportunity to support local
businesses. Please be sure to visit your favorite local shop or restaurant as
you prepare for the holiday season and remember that when you shop small you
make a big difference.”
The Monmouth County Board
of County Commissioners is proud to promote small businesses through events
such as the Holiday Made in Monmouth
expo which will be held on Saturday, Dec. 14, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the
Robert J. Collins Arena on the campus of Brookdale Community College in
Lincroft.
“Our Made in Monmouth expo grows every
year and offers shoppers the opportunity to support hundreds of Monmouth County
business all in one location,” said Director Arnone. “With more than 250
vendors scheduled to attend this year’s Holiday Made in Monmouth, it is the perfect
place to do some holiday shopping.”
Monmouth County has also
created programs such as Grown in
Monmouth and Brewed &
Distilled in Monmouth to promote the County’s agriculture and craft
beverage businesses.
