Monmouth County Board of County Commissioners
hosted a Shared Services Summit for local officials
FREEHOLD, NJ – The Monmouth County Board of County
Commissioners hosted a Shared Services Summit for elected and appointed
officials at the Monmouth County Fire Academy on Nov. 13.
The Monmouth County Office of Shared Services facilitates
partnerships with local government entities where the County provides services,
equipment and resources to them which helps reduce costs and increase
efficiencies.
“It is important for the County to be a partner with
our municipalities, and the County’s Shared Services program is an excellent
example of this commitment,” said Commissioner Director Thomas A. Arnone,
liaison to Monmouth County Office of Shared Services. “We know how challenging
it is to maintain an annual budget without raising taxes, but together we can
continue to help reduce the heavy tax burden on our residents and preserve the
high quality of life we all have come to enjoy in Monmouth County.”
During
the Summit, presentations were given by the Monmouth County Sheriff Shaun
Golden, Monmouth County Clerk Christine Giordano Hanlon, the Monmouth County
Department of Public Works and Engineering, the Monmouth County Tax Board and
the Monmouth County Division of Planning, where each speaker provided
background on services offered through shared services agreements.
“In addition
to the resources we already offer through the Office on Shared Services, we
want to hear from our local officials about what your needs are so we can try
and assist you,” said Director Arnone.
Director
Arnone encouraged municipal representatives to contact the Office on Shared
Services for specific information about potential agreements.
“The
Shared Services team and I are always available to help you get started, or
answer any questions you may have, so contact us by calling 732-431-7460 or
emailing us at sharedservices@co.monmouth.nj.us,”
said Director Arnone. “We look forward to working with all our partners to make
Monmouth County the best place to live.”
