Commissioners encourage residents
to shop local on Small Business Saturday
FREEHOLD, NJ – The Monmouth County Board of County
Commissioners encourages residents to go out and support local businesses and
restaurants on Small Business Saturday, which takes place on Saturday, Nov. 25.
“The Commissioners
would like to remind residents and visitors that Saturday, Nov. 25 is Small
Business Saturday,” said Commissioner Director Thomas A. Arnone, liaison to the
Division of Economic Development. “Small Business Saturday is an opportunity to
support our local businesses. Please be sure to visit your favorite local shop
or restaurant as you prepare for the holiday season.”
The Board of County Commissioners
is also proud to assist small businesses through events such as the Holiday
Made in Monmouth which will be held on Saturday, Dec. 9 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
at the Robert J. Collins Arena on the campus of Brookdale Community College in
Lincroft. Monmouth County also has initiatives and programs to promote small
businesses such as Grown in Monmouth and Brewed and Distilled in Monmouth.
“The Grown in Monmouth program helps Monmouth
County growers maintain and promote the County’s agriculture industry while Brewed and Distilled in Monmouth assists residents and visitors learn more about the breweries, wineries
and distilleries throughout Monmouth County,” said Director Arnone”
