Nominations being sought for Monmouth
County
2023 Planning Merit Awards Program
FREEHOLD,
NJ – The Monmouth County Board of County Commissioners is pleased to announce
that the Division of Planning is accepting nominations for the 2023 Monmouth
County Planning Board’s Planning Merit Award Program.
“The Planning Merit Award Program
recognizes plans, projects, programs, individuals, municipalities, businesses,
community leaders and stakeholder organizations that have made a significant
contribution to the advancement of planning and planning outcomes in Monmouth
County,” said Commissioner Director Thomas A. Arnone. “The purpose of the awards
is to honor exceptional examples of planning in Monmouth County and to inspire
others to pursue the same level of planning achievement and excellence.”
“The Monmouth County Planning
Board invites and encourages anyone to submit what they believe to be an
outstanding nomination for consideration in the 2023 Planning Merit Award
Program,” said Commissioner Ross F. Licitra, liaison to the Monmouth County
Planning Board. “Nominations can be made in four categories: Creativity and
Innovation; Development and Redevelopment; Environmental, Resilience,
Sustainability and Regeneration; and Historical Preservation and Restoration.”
Nominations may
be submitted by any individual or organization. Projects, plans, and programs
must be located in Monmouth County and have been completed or fully implemented
between Sept. 1, 2022 and Sept. 30, 2023. The deadline for the receipt of
completed entries is Oct. 10, 2023 and applications must be submitted online.
