Commissioners urge residents to shop local for
Small Business Saturday on Nov. 26

FREEHOLD, NJ – The Monmouth County Board of County Commissioners would like to encourage residents to go out and support local businesses and restaurants on Saturday, Nov. 26 for Small Business Saturday.

“The Board of County Commissioners would like to remind residents and visitors to celebrate our small business community on Saturday, Nov. 26 for Small Business Saturday,” said Commissioner Director Thomas A. Arnone, liaison to the Division of Economic Development. “Small Business Saturday is a designated day to appreciate and support the local businesses in our community. We have an incredible small business community with a variety of services and products available, so take this day as an opportunity to visit and support them.”

The Monmouth County Board of County Commissioners is proud to assist small businesses through events such as the Holiday Made in Monmouth which will be held in December.

“My fellow Commissioners and I are proud to offer the Holiday 2022 Made in Monmouth on Saturday, Dec. 10 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Robert J. Collins Arena,” said Commissioner Director Arnone. “This will be another fantastic way for the community to come out and support our local businesses for the holiday season.”

If are you looking for agriculture-based items such as Christmas trees or produce grown locally, there is the Grown in Monmouth program.

“Residents can visit the Grown in Monmouth online portal to find local Christmas Tree farms, restaurants, wineries/breweries, garden centers and more,” said Director Arnone. “The Grown in Monmouth program has been designed for Monmouth County growers to help maintain and promote the County’s agriculture industry.”

The Monmouth County Board of County Commissioners also launched their latest program, “Brewed & Distilled in Monmouth” as a way to promote the County’s breweries, distilleries and wineries.

“Patrons who may be interested in exploring our breweries, wineries and distilleries can go to www.BrewedandDistilledinMonmouth.com to learn more about all of the establishments throughout the County as well as local restaurants and points of interest in the surrounding areas. This is another great way to support our small business community,” said Director Arnone.
