Division
of Consumer Affairs to present “Fraud Watch”
Consumer Affairs Director David M. Salkin to offer
clarity on latest scams
MANALAPAN, NJ – The Monmouth County Division of
Consumer Affairs will host “Fraud Watch,” an event where Consumer Affairs
Director David M. Salkin will give the latest overview of consumer fraud alerts
and latest scams, at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 25 at the Monmouth County Library
Headquarters, 125 Symmes Drive.
“Scam artists and cyber criminals are constantly
trying to come up with new ways to trick individuals in order to obtain
personal information,” said Freeholder Lillian G. Burry, liaison to the
Division of Consumer Affairs. “It is extremely important that the public is
aware of the most current scams so Monmouth County residents do not fall victim
to these numerous malpractices. At
this event, the Director of Consumer Affairs, David Salkin, will provide
crucial advice on how to protect yourself from deceit.”
Salkin will be speaking about the most current,
devious scam scams and ways residents can protect themselves from fraudsters,
scam artists, cyber criminals and bad business practices. He will suggest ways
for residents to be vigilant and avoid problems before they occur.
