County Clerk reminds voters to register by Oct. 13

Residents can register at the County, by mail, or in their town

 

FREEHOLD, N.J. – Monmouth County Clerk Christine Giordano Hanlon is reminding residents that the deadline is fast approaching for those wishing to vote in the Nov. 3 General Election. Registration must be completed by Tuesday, Oct. 13, 21 days prior to Election Day.

“I urge everyone to exercise their right to vote and register for the fall elections,” said Hanlon.  “Registration is easy and the right to vote is the cornerstone of our nation’s freedom and continued liberties.”

Residents may register at the Monmouth County Voter Registration Office, 300 Halls Mills Rd., Freehold Township, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.  On Tuesday, Oct. 13 the office will remain open until 9 p.m.

You may also register at your Municipal Clerk’s office, call for the hours and the location. 

To register by mail, download the New Jersey voter registration application. The form can be found on the County Clerk’s section of the Monmouth County website at www.visitmonmouth.com.

A driver’s license number or the last four digits of your Social Security number must be entered on the New Jersey Voter Registration form.

In order to register to vote, you must be at least 18 years of age and a U.S. Citizen by the General
Election on Nov. 3.
