Monmouth County freeholders set meeting dates
Sine Die, organization meetings will be held Jan. 7

FREEHOLD – The Monmouth County Board of Chosen Freeholders will hold a Sine Die meeting at 11 a.m. on Jan. 7, 2010 in the Hall of Records.

This last meeting of 2009 is held to conclude financial, purchasing and other business matters for the year. The Latin term Sine Die means the final adjournment of a legislative session, without adjourning to a specific time or date; literally it means “adjournment without a day.” The term is most commonly used to signify the final adjournment of a session of Congress or State Legislature.

Later that same day, at 4 p.m., the Board of Chosen Freeholders will hold its annual organization meeting at the Monmouth County Police Academy at 2000 Kozloski Rd. On the agenda will be the swearing-in of John P. Curley as a member of the Board of Chosen Freeholders.

For more information, call the Clerk of the Board’s office at (732) 431-7387, or visit the County’s Web site at www.visitmonmouth.com
