RUMSON, NJ – The Monmouth County Public Works and Engineering Department anticipates the following schedule for milling and paving work in Rumson.

Please note, that operations of this nature are weather-dependent and may be changed to accommodate such variables.

“The men and women of the Monmouth County Public Works and Engineering Department are focused on providing a safe and reliable driving experience on all County roads,” said Freeholder Thomas A. Arnone, liaison to the Monmouth County Public Works and Engineering Department. “This much needed milling and paving work is critical to keeping our roads in optimal condition. We strive to minimize any inconvenience to the traveling public and we thank everyone for their patience and understanding.”

The Week of November 6

*All work takes place between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m.

· Mon. (11/6) – Milling on East River Road (CR 10) from Ridge Road to Black Point Road and Ridge Road (CR 34) from Forrest Ave to Avenue of Two Rivers

· Tues. (11/7) – No work

· Wed. (11/8) – Paving on East River Road (CR 10) from Ridge Road to Black Point Road and Ridge Road (CR 34) from Forrest Ave to Avenue of Two Rivers

· Thur. (11/9) – Milling on Avenue of Two Rivers (CR 34) from Ridge Road to Rumson Road

· Fri. (11/10) – No work

· Tues. (11/14) – Milling on Ridge Road (CR 34) from Forrest Ave to Bingham Avenue and milling on Bingham Avenue (CR 8A) from Ridge Road to Rumson Road

· Wed. (11/15) – Paving on Ridge Road (CR 34) from Forrest Ave to Bingham Avenue and paving on Bingham Avenue (CR 8A) from Ridge Road to Rumson Road

· Thurs. (11/16) – Milling on Rumson Road (CR 520) from Bingham Ave to Ward Ave

· Fri. (11/17) – Paving on Rumson Road (CR 520) from Bingham Ave to Ward Ave

Motorists in the area during the milling and paving operations should take care to stay alert to changes in road conditions and follow the posted detour signs along the route.
