Creamery Road Detour in Place
Five-day closure for bridge repair work

COLTS NECK, NJ – Monmouth County Department of Public Works and Engineering crews will perform routine maintenance on the bridge over Mine Brook beginning today through Wednesday, September 27, weather-permitting.

To perform these repairs, the Monmouth County Division of Highway will close Creamery Road between County Route 537 and Phalanx Road (CR-54). Vehicles, bicyclists and pedestrians should plan to use an alternate route during the five-day period. Detour signs will be posted. Local traffic will be permitted on Creamery Road.

This work must be done to keep the bridge in working condition,” said Freeholder Thomas A. Arnone, liaison to the County’s Department of Public Works and Engineering. “We appreciate the patience of the traveling public as County crews work to perform this regular maintenance and we are committed to limiting the inconvenience to the traveling public.”

Motor vehicle traffic on County Route 537 can travel east to make a left onto Laird Road and then another left onto Phalanx Road. Motor vehicle traffic on Phalanx Road (CR-54) can travel east to make a right onto Laird Road and then another right onto County Route 537.
