Monmouth 4-H gets help
from Tractor Supply Company

Allentown tractor store raises funds for local program

ALLENTOWN, NJ – The Allentown Tractor Supply Company (TSCO) was recently recognized by the National 4-H Association for raising $937 for the Monmouth County’s 4-H program through the 12-day Paper Clover Campaign held in spring 2015.

This local tractor supply store was honored with the "Class Champion" award for meeting the goals of the 4-H/TSCO Spring 2015 Paper Clover Promotion.

Store employees assisted in promoting the campaign, resulting in 35.9% of all transactions including a 4-H Paper Clover purchase, and will be presented with a ribbon from 4-H to recognize the achievement.

The 4-H/TSCO Paper Clover Campaign is a nationwide, in-store fundraiser that benefits 4-H programming in the communities where a TSCO store is located. The campaign raised more than $893,000 to support 4-H on the local, state, and national levels during its twelve day promotion.

“This campaign is a great way to show support for the Monmouth County 4-H program,” said Freeholder Lillian G. Burry, liaison to the Monmouth County Office of the Rutgers Cooperative Extension Service. “The 4-H Youth Development Program uses a learn-by-doing approach to enable youth to develop the knowledge, attitudes and skills they need to become competent, caring and contributing citizens.”

The effort has provided direct support for local camps, after-school programs and other club activities. In Monmouth County, the Paper Clover funds have gone to support member opportunity at the Monmouth County Fair.

Tractor Supply Company is an international chain of retail stores that offers products for home improvement, agriculture, lawn and garden maintenance, and livestock, equine and pet care. The Monmouth County store is located at 701 County Route 524 in Allentown, NJ.
