Help for Homeowners

County Connection to host free workshop

 

FREEHOLD, NJ – The Monmouth County Connection will host a workshop entitled “Help for Homeowners” on Tuesday, March 24 from 2 to 3:30 p.m. at 3544 State Highway 66.

The Monmouth County Office of Consumer Affairs and the Affordable Housing Alliance will present a workshop for homeowners in New Jersey. They will explain loan modification scams and how to protect yourself. Participants will also learn about the various options for struggling homeowners, how to apply for loan modification and the foreclosure process.

This program is free and open to all Monmouth County residents, but registration is required. To register, please call 732-303-2828. 

“I encourage residents to take advantage of the great services provided at the County Connection,” said Freeholder Lillian G. Burry. “In addition to great workshops, the County Connection offers passport services, free notary public and many other services all free of cost.”

The Monmouth County Connection is located in the strip mall at 3544 State Highway 66 in Neptune, adjacent to the Home Depot and across the street from Walmart. The office offers a variety of services including passport processing, passport photos, free notary public, veterans’ IDs, election/voter information, senior and veterans’ services, public access computers and more.

The office is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Tuesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The County Connection is under the direction of County Clerk M. Claire French and is supported by the Board of Chosen Freeholders.
