County officials sworn-in as 2015 NJAC officers

Rich and French to serve as executive officers of State association

 

FREEHOLD, NJ – Monmouth County Freeholder Director Gary J. Rich, Sr. and Monmouth County Clerk M. Claire French were sworn-in as 2015 New Jersey Association of Counties (NJAC) executive officers in the Senate Chambers of the State House in Trenton on Friday. Freeholder Director Gary J. Rich, Sr., New Jersey Association of Counties (NJAC) Secretary/Treasurer, Monmouth County Clerk M. Claire French, NJAC Immediate Past-President and NJ County Clerks' representative, and Monmouth County Sheriff Shaun Golden, NJ County Sheriffs' representative, attend the 2015 NJAC Board of Directors Reorganization meeting in the Senate Chambers of the State House in Trenton on Friday, Jan. 30.

Rich, who serves as the County’s representative to NJAC, was sworn in as the 2015 Secretary and Treasurer. French was sworn-in as the Immediate Past-President.

“I commend Claire for her dedicated leadership as the 2014 NJAC President,” said Rich. “I look forward to serving as Secretary and Treasurer of NJAC and working with Claire, my fellow NJAC executive officers and board of directors over the coming year.”

State Senator Linda Greenstein administered the oath of office to NJAC’s 2015 slate of executive officers that includes: Mercer County Freeholder Ann Cannon as incoming NJAC President, Hunterdon County Freeholder John King as First Vice President, Gloucester County Freeholder Heather Simmons as Second Vice President, Monmouth County Freeholder Director Gary J. Rich, Sr. as Secretary/Treasurer, and Monmouth County Clerk M. Claire French as Immediate Past President.

“It was an honor to serve as the 2014 President of NJAC,” said French, who also serves as the New Jersey County Clerks' representative. “I am grateful to continue to work with the officers and board of directors in 2015 to serve the county governments through this outstanding organization.”
 
Freeholder Lillian G. Burry is the County’s alternate representative to NJAC.

Monmouth County Sheriff Shaun Golden serves as the New Jersey County Sheriffs' representative.
