Emergency closure on Jonathan Holmes Road

County crews will repair roadway in Upper Freehold

 

UPPER FREEHOLD, NJ – Monmouth County Department of Public Works and Engineering crews are on scene for an emergency closure of Jonathan Holmes Road (U-91) between Meirs Road and Emleys Road.

 

County crews will be evaluating the damage to determine the extent of the damage and the amount of time to complete the repair work. 
 

Motorists on Jonathan Holmes Road should follow the posted detours.

 

“County crews will be working to complete the work necessary to return the roads to working order,” Freeholder Thomas A. Arnone said. “The County understands the inconvenience that this closure may have on the motoring public in Upper Freehold and we will work to get Jonathan Holmes Road reopened as quickly as possible.”

 

In total, the County maintains of approximately 1,000 lane miles of roads, 980 bridges and culverts and 250 traffic signals and beacons.
