New Bedford Road bridge reopens today

Work completed three weeks ahead of schedule

 

WALL, NJ –New Bedford Road between Mill Pond Court and Troy Drive will reopen today at 4 p.m. after the replacement of the bridge deck at County Bridge W-22.

 

The bridge work has been completed three weeks ahead of schedule.

 

“County crews worked tirelessly to finish this project ahead of schedule and in time for this busy summer weekend,” said Freeholder Thomas A. Arnone, liaison to the County’s Department of Public Works and Engineering. “We appreciate the patience of the travelling public while we worked to perform these necessary repairs. Monmouth County works to keep its bridges and roads in safe, working order.”

 

Arnone added that crews will return to the area on Monday, July 21 to finish some minor work with the project. Motorists should anticipate intermittent alternating lane closures while the work is completed.
