Work scheduled for CR-524 bridge
at Halls Mills Road
 

County to conduct on scene maintenance

FREEHOLD, NJ – The bridge on CR-524 near Halls Mills Road will undergo repair work between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Thursday, May 29.

 

The Monmouth County Department of Public Works and Engineering will be installing new guide rail along the roadway and bridge while also conducting stream corridor maintenance work.

 

Motorists should expect travel delays on CR-524 while alternating lanes of traffic will be allowed through the work zone. Halls Mills Road will be closed between Three Brooks Road and CR-524 and all traffic will be detoured. Detour signs will be posted.

 

“County crews will be working simultaneously to clean out debris from beneath the bridge in the stream corridor and install new guide rail,” Freeholder Thomas A. Arnone said. “The County understands the inconvenience that this work may have on the motoring public in the area and we will work to get the road reopened as quickly as possible.”

 

The County’s Division of Bridges will conducting the guide rail replacement and the Division of Shade Tree will be working on the stream corridor clean out.

 

In total, the County maintains of approximately 1,000 lane miles of roads, 980 bridges and culverts and 250 traffic signals and beacons.
