County Connection offers memory loss workshop

Program will discuss basics of memory loss,
dementia and Alzheimer’s

 

NEPTUNE, NJ –The Monmouth County Connection will host a workshop entitled “The Basics: Memory Loss, Dementia and Alzheimer ’s disease” on Wednesday, Jan. 29, from 11 a.m. to noon.

Separate the myths from reality on issues concerning memory loss. This program is designed to provide the basic information that everyone needs to know about memory loss, dementia, and Alzheimer’s disease. Address commonly-held fears and have your questions regarding memory loss answered. The different types of dementia, risk factors, obtaining a diagnosis, current research and, most importantly, how to plan for the future will be discussed.

All programs are free and open to all Monmouth County residents, but registration is required. To register, please call 732-303-2828. 

The Monmouth County Connection is located in the strip mall at 3544 State Highway 66 in Neptune, adjacent to the Home Depot and across the street from Walmart. The office offers a variety of services including passports, passport photos, free notary public, veterans’ IDs, election/voter information, senior and veterans’ services, public access computers and more.

The office is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Tuesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The County Connection operates under the direction of County Clerk M. Claire French and is supported by the Monmouth County Board of Chosen Freeholders.
