Freeholders recognize contest winners

After The Reign win statewide song contest

 

FREEHOLD, NJ – The Monmouth County Board of Chosen Freeholders presented a certificate of recognition to the band After The Reign for winning the statewide Stronger than the Storm song contest. 

The Monmouth County Board of Chosen Freeholders presented a certificate to members of the band After The Reign for winning the statewide Stronger than the Storm song contest. Curley.The certificate was presented to After The Reign, an American country band, whose members are Willie Kelly, John Strevens, Dave Burlett, Bob Grado, Herb Van Note and Clay Perlman.

“The Board commends the members of After The Reign for producing a beautifully written tribute to the energy, determination and endurance of the people of New Jersey,” said Freeholder Deputy Director Serena DiMaso. “Their powerful song resonates with everyone who was affected by Superstorm Sandy and reminds us all that we truly are Jersey strong.”

The competition was a part of the Stronger than the Storm campaign developed to raise awareness of the Jersey Shore's recovery following the devastation after Superstorm Sandy.

After The Reign won the statewide music competition with their song “Jersey Strong,” which is an anthem of the Jersey Shore's strength, spirit and resilience.

“Jersey Strong” pays tribute to the resilient New Jersey residents who have endured unimaginable hardships, and pays an emotional tribute to those have committed themselves to rebuilding the coastal communities impacted by the storm.
