8:00 to 9:15 AM

Doing More with "Not Enough" MODC Cultural & Tourism Workshop Series Session I - November 4, 2014 Session II - November 25, 2014 Session III - December 9, 2014 Registration & Coffee 8:00 a.m Workshop 8:30 a.m. - 9:15 a.m. Post Event Networking Hosted by Ocean Place Resort & Spa One Ocean Boulevard, Long Branch With limited resources, many community cultural and tourism organizations skip over powerful foundational marketing tools in order to embrace the latest and greatest marketing tactics. Yet, those foundational tools are both cost effective and provide a solid base for return on all other marketing efforts. MODC's Cultural & Tourism Committee presents a series of short breakfast workshops designed to allow you to leave ready to start making use of these powerful foundations for your marketing. Each workshop includes immediate, simple action steps and worksheets to enable you to quickly put these tools to work. • Session I (11/4/14): Asset Mapping - Facilitators: Michael Redpath, Redpath & Associates; Mary Eileen Fouratt, Monmouth County Arts Council. Most communities have a wealth of assets that could contribute to their customers' experiences. However, often, only the most obvious are employed. This cross between observation and brainstorming will add to your customer experience and enable you to do more powerful marketing. • Session II (11/25/14): Putting Your Brand to Work - Facilitator: Chris Rocco, Spark Creative Group. A well-defined brand both helps to differentiate your destination from others, and enables you to ensure delivery on customer expectations. This workshop will assist you in clarifying your brand and ensure that you are meeting customer expectations for your brand. • Session III (12/9/14): Powerful Partnerships - Facilitators: Ted Maturo, Townsquare Media. Cash and in-kind sponsorships thrive when they are approached as true partnerships, with each party seeking to provide the greatest value for each
